The event celebrated Indian gastronomy's rich tapestry, focusing on Royal Cuisine curated by Shri Raghuvendra Pratap Singh Ji of Jhalamand Garh and Smt. Archana Singh Badnore of Awadh. Candlelit tables adorned with exquisite silverware and majestic decor recreated a historic dining hall atmosphere, transporting guests to an era of grandeur. Traditional Qawali performances and Rajasthan folk songs further enriched the evening, making it a memorable celebration of culinary diversity and Royal traditions.

The Claridges New Delhi was delighted to host The Royal Food Festival in collaboration with Gourmet Planet, a community that discusses and appreciates the best restaurants around the world.

The event featured five gourmet curations; the Royal Rampur Nazakhat, Royal Rajasthani Zaika, Royal dilettante from central India, Maharaj Vaishno Bhoj, Royal Gourmand from Nepal, and Royal extracts & zero-proof beverages, prepared by five royal families. The festival was celebrated in lively spirits with traditional folk music and dance in the presence of royalty and eminent personalities.

On the evening of 17th December 2022, The Claridges New Delhi played host to lauded British Indian Chef Asma Khan, as she curated and created a veritable, royal feast for the guests in attendance. Many food industry titans, chefs, and critics were present at the event.

A Culinary Tribute

Chef Asma Khan suffused her Bengali roots with a Mughal influence, to produce delectable meals unlike any other. Gastronomic gems like Hyderabadi dalcha, narangi pulao, Ammu’s lamb biryani, kaju aloo, lachedar paratha, among others, were served up for the awed and salivating guests. It was a tantalisation of the senses and a journey of the mind, that no one is likely to forget.
